Cow and Tractor Cakes

I made these cakes for a little boy's first birthday!  They are all yellow cake with black, white, pink, green, orange, and gold buttercream icing.  The cow was made to look like the cow in Sandra Boynton's Barnyard Dance, and I modeled the tractor off one of my little boy's tractors outfitted with tread, steps, lights, a grate, and a caution sign.

The cost for these cakes was:
Cakes: $1.84 x 2 = $3.68
Icing: $2.43 x 5 = $12.15
Wrapping: $3.65
Labor: $6 x 6.7 = $40.20
Total: $59.66

Halloween Big Cookie

I made this big cookie for my son's first Halloween.  He was too little to eat any of it, but my husband really enjoyed my creation!  It's a basic chocolate chip cookie decorated with orange, green, and yellow buttercream icing.

Halloween Cakes

These cakes were the center pieces as at Halloween party my son attended.  The witch's hat, spider, and Frankenstein's monster were all chocolate cakes while the pumpkin and candy corn were white. The black, green, orange, white, yellow, and gold icing is all buttercream.  The pupils on the spider and Frankenstein's monster are chocolate chips, and the spider's legs are black licorice.  The bolts on the head of Frankenstein's monster are black dots.

Pumpkin and Tombstone Cupcakes

These cupcakes were made for a field trip to the pumpkin patch!  The pumpkin cupcakes are yellow cake with orange and yellow buttercream icing with pretzel stems.  The tombstone cupcakes are also yellow cake, but they are iced with white buttercream icing rolled in crushed Oreos with a Milano cookie as the tombstone.  Black buttercream icing was used to write RIP.

Mardi Gras Mask Cake

I made this cake as the dessert table centerpiece for a high school prom with a Mardi Gras theme.  It is a yellow cake with green, black, yellow, purple, and white buttercream icing.  It was hand created and decorated from a picture.  No cake pan was used.  The feathers are synthetic and for decoration only.

Shamrock Cake

This is the cake I made for my husband's Ph.D. graduation party.  He is an engineer and according to engineering legend at the University of Missouri St. Patrick was an engineer.  It is a one layer chocolate cake with green and white buttercream icing.
