Christmas Mini Santa Cupcakes and Blueberry Pound Cake

I get lots of orders around Christmas usually for parties, but both of these desserts can be found elsewhere on this blog, so I am not including a picture. The final cost of both was:

Blueberry Pound Cake: $16.10

48 Santa Mini Cupcakes: $14.68 x 2 = $29.36

Total: $45.46

Captain America Civil War Cake

This cake was made for a little boy who loves superheroes. He couldn't decide what his favorite superheroes were, so when he finally decided on Spiderman, Iron Man, and Captain America I realized these three characters were in Captain America Civil War, so that became his birthday theme. The cake is a 9"x13" yellow cake decorated with red, yellow, black, red, and white buttercream icing. The final cost of this cake was:

Icing: $3.55 x 1.75 = $6.21

Cake: $2.81

Wrapping: $4.88

Labor: $7.50 x 3 = $22.50

Total: $36.40

Chocolate Raspberry Cupcakes

These cupcakes were made for Thanksgiving dessert. They are chocolate cupcakes filled with raspberry jelly and decorated with raspberry buttercream icing. The final cost of these cupcakes was:

Icing: $3.55

Cake: $2.81

Jelly: $1.15

Foils: $1

Labor: $7.50 x 1.5 = $11.25

Total: $19.76

Thank you for visiting my blog! My name is Tiffany LaCroix and I have been
making cakes for at least 20 years. The
first cakes I recall baking and decorating was my little brother’s birthday
cake when I was ten. My mother helped a
lot during those early years, and taught me everything I know about cake
decorating. Thus, I think there is a
fair possibility I decorated some of my own birthday cakes earlier in life when
my mom’s hands got sore piping stars! I
see cake decorating as an art and as such it is one of my favorite things to
do. I traditionally bake chocolate or
yellow cakes because I find they stay the moistest, and I ice with buttercream
icing because I think it is the yummiest!
I often add cookies, candies, or other flares to my cakes for added
detail because I like the cake to taste yummy and be visually interesting. Cake decorating is a hobby of mine which is
why I do my best to keep the cost reasonable for the product. My true passion is my son, and I work every
day to make his world a beautiful and fun place to be. If making a cake for others makes their world
more fun, then I’ve done a good job sharing a bit of my joy.
