Christmas Swirl Cupcakes

Often when my clients have family members come to town they email me to make a small amount of something special - usually cupcakes - to enjoy with their family.  That is exactly what these cupcakes are for.  A small after Christmas treat for a family who loves each other very much.

The final cost of these cupcakes is below:
Buttercream Icing per Batch: $2.55
12 Yellow Cake Cupcakes: $.97
Foils: $1
Labor: $6
Total: $10.52

Creeper Cupcakes

My son is way too young for Minecraft, but I am well versed because my two adorable nephews are obsessed with Minecraft.  So, when a client asked for Minecraft cupcakes for her grandson's birthday I knew just who to make...Creeper.  These are chocolate cake cupcakes in camouflage liners with green and black buttercream icing.

The final cost of these cupcakes is below:
Buttercream Icing per Batch: $3.83
Chocolate Cake: $1.93
Foils: $2
Labor: $12
Total: $19.76

Jelly-filled Cupcakes

My mother loves to find me new baking tools for Christmas, and this year I received the tools to make jelly-filled cupcakes!  Two of my clients love jelly-filled cakes, so as soon as I opened my present I texted both of them and asked if they wanted to be my jelly-filled cupcake guinea pigs!  Oh my gosh these looked good when I put them together!   They are made of yellow cake and raspberry jelly.  The swirled icing is white buttercream and the stared icing is cream cheese.  My clients love both types of icing, so I just had to make both.  I wonder which tasted better with the jelly-filled cupcakes?

The final cost of these cupcakes is below:
Buttercream Icing $2.55
Creme Cheese Icing: $2.92
12 Cupcakes: $.97
Foils: $1
Jelly: $1
Labor: $9
Total: $17.44

Blueberry Pound Cake

There are a few yummy treats I make for my family that I never considered putting on my website.  One of my favorite clients loves to challenge my baking abilities, so this year when she asked for pound cake for Christmas I said, "Oh sure, I make blueberry pound cake!"  I make it every year for my husband's family for Thanksgiving and for our Christmas morning breakfast (it tastes GREAT with bacon!).

The cost below is for two blueberry pound cakes:
Cake: $8.60
Labor: $6
Total: $14.60

Pumpkin Cupcakes with Cream Cheese Icing

These pumpkin cupcakes with cream cheese icing were made for a local family's Thanksgiving Day dessert!  They smelled so good baking that my son kept asking for a cupcake!  I guess I'll have to make him some!  Two pumpkin cakes accompanied these cupcakes, but since I have already posted a picture and price of the pumpkin cakes, I will not be reposting that information.

Here is the final cost of the 24 pumpkin cupcakes:
Cream Cheese Icing per Batch: $2.92 x 2 = $5.84
Pumpkin Cupcakes: $4.46

Halloween Swirl Cupcakes

These cupcakes were made for my class for Halloween, so there is no direct cost for them.  Let’s just say there weren’t any left when class was dismissed.

Halloween Cupcakes

A good friend of mine has a daughter who I make cakes for every year.  A few weeks before Halloween the daughter asked my friend if I could make their family a few Halloween cupcakes.  The mom asked the daughter what kind she wanted.  The result was four Frankenstein’s Monster, four ghosts, and four pumpkin cupcakes!  All were made with yellow cake and decorated with green, white, orange, brown, and black buttercream icing. The foils of course matched the theme of each cupcake!  They were so cute I made a few extra for my husband and son!

The final cost of these cupcakes was:
Buttercream Icing per Batch: $2.55 x 2 = $5.10
Yellow Cake: $1.93 x .5 = $.97
Foils: $.50
Labor: $6.00 per hour x 1.5 = $9
Total: $15.57

Jack-O-Lantern Cake

This cake was made for a Halloween preschool party!  I hear the kids really gobbled it up!  It is a yellow cake covered with orange, yellow, and green buttercream icing.  The orange is decorated to look like the seams in a pumpkin, and the green is textured to look like the stem.

The final cost of this cake was:
Buttercream Icing per Batch: $2.55 x 1.5= $ 3.83
Yellow Cake: $1.93
Wrapping and Plating: $4.88
Labor: $6.00 per hour x 2 = $12
Total: $22.64
