Strawberry Shortcake Cake

I love it when clients say, "I have a birthday coming up, and I need a cake.  Surprise me" because it gives me a chance to be creative and make "grown up" cakes.  This two layer yellow cake is filled with strawberry jelly between the layers, and covered with strawberry buttercream icing.  I decorated it with strawberry buttercream rosettes and fresh strawberries.  I even put the cake in the freezer for a bit to give the strawberries a frosted look so their skin matched the icing color and the red interior stood out more.  This cake was simply beautiful.   The final cost of this cake was:
Icing: $3.55
Cake: $2.81
Jelly: $2.30
Strawberries: 2.63
Wrapping: $4.88
Labor: $7.50 x 2 = $15
Final Price: $31.17

Lemon Cupcakes with Raspberry Filling

I have a client who loves to experiment.  She will see things in magazines or on the internet and send me ideas saying, "This sounds yummy.  Let's do this."  I love her creativity and her reassurance that if she can dream it up, I can make it happen.  This latest creation are lemon cake cupcakes filled with raspberry jelly and topped with lemon buttercream icing.  I had never before made lemon cake or lemon buttercream icing, so I was a little afraid it was all going to be too lemony, but it was perfection.  I could have eaten all 24 in one setting. The final cost of these cupcakes was:

Icing: $3.55
Cake: $2.81
Jelly: $1.15
Foils: $1
Labor: $7.50 x 1.5 = $11.25
Final Price: $19.76

Super Mega Force Ranger Team Cake

I made this birthday cake for a five year old little boy in my neighborhood who loves Power Rangers.  I was a bit intimidated to make this cake though because he specifically asked for the Super Mega Force Ranger Team, and at the time I had no idea who that was.  There was no way I was going to disappoint this little dude, so I did my research, cleared the design with him, and put as much detail into those Power Ranger helmets as I could.  This 3x13" chocolate cake is decorated with chocolate, black, white, green, red, blue, yellow, and pink buttercream icing.  It was a challenge to get all the helmet detail onto this small of a cake, but from what I heard after the party, the birthday boy was very happy.  The final cost of this cake was:
Icing: $9.76
Cake: $2.81
Wrapping: $4.88
Labor: $22.50
Final Cost: $39.95

Preschool Kiddo Cupcakes 2015

I made these cupcakes for my son’s preschool graduation and moving up ceremony.  This way every child got their own cupcake!  They are all yellow cake and they are decorated with peach, chocolate, light blue, red, pink, yellow, and black buttercream icing.  My favorite part about these cupcakes is they celebrate how each child is unique and special even when represented in cake!  Please contact me for pricing information.
