Train and #1 Smash Cake

These cakes were made for the first birthday of my very good friend and neighbor's son.  The #1 smash cake was cut from a square yellow cake and decorated with blue, red, yellow, and green buttercream icing.  With any luck the birthday boy will be covered!  The train cake is a 9x13" yellow cake decorated with white, blue, green, red, yellow, black, and light blue buttercream icing.  Looks like it will be a very fun first birthday!  The prices for both cakes are listed below:
#1 Smash Cake:
Icing: $3.55 x 2.5 = $8.88
Cake: $2.81
Wrapping: $4.88
Work: $7.50 x 1.75 = $13.13
Total: $29.70

Train Cake:
Icing: $3.55 x 3.25 = $11.54
Cake: $2.81
Wrapping: $4.88
Work: $7.50 x 2.5 = $18.75
Total: $37.98

Pink, Purple, and Blue Butterfly

I normally don't repost similar cakes, but the colors and design on this butterfly were different enough I thought I would post the pictures.  This is a yellow sheet cake cut out like a butterfly and decorated with purple, hot pink, light blue, and white buttercream icing.  Instead of using Twizzlers this time for the antenna I drew them on with icing so I could make them curl.  I really like how the light blue and white make the hot pink and purple pop.  The price for this cake was:
Icing: $3.55 x 3 = $10.65
Cake: $2.81 x 2 = $5.62
Wrapping: $4.88
Work: $7.50 x 3 = $22.50
Subtotal: $43.65

Chocolate and Yellow Mini Cupcakes

These mini cupcakes were made for an adult client's birthday.  Half of the cupcakes were chocolate with chocolate buttercream icing and half were yellow cake with white buttercream icing.  The final price for these cupcakes was:

Buttercream Icing per Batch: $3.55
Yellow and Chocolate Cake: $2.81
Foils: $1
Labor: $7.50 per hour
Total: $14.86

Catholic Teacher Appreciation Day

I didn't know until this year that Catholic Teacher Appreciation Day was different than Teacher Appreciation Day, so when I found out I amended my Teacher Appreciation Day cupcakes with a cross instead of a chalkboard.  My son's teachers and principal loved them!  The cupcakes are all yellow cake decorated with white, black, red, light blue, brown, green, orange, and yellow buttercream icing to look like an apple, cross, letter writing paper, and a painting easel.  I used a variety of cupcake foils just to make the presentation prettier, put the cupcakes in a blue desk organizing tray, wrapped with clear cellophane, and tied everything together with a white ribbon. I chose blue and white as my decoration colors because they are the school colors!
