This cake was made for a little boy’s fifth birthday who just loves Alvin and the Chipmunks. I had never made an Alvin and the Chipmunks cake before and I knew that drawing on the faces and bodies of all three chipmunks would take a lot of time and price this cake out of my ideal price range. So, I found the plastic Alvin figures online, my client ordered them, and we used them as cake toppers! The best part is the cake toppers become toys after the cake is gone! This sheet cake was made of yellow cake with white, yellow, red, blue, green, and black buttercream icing.
The cost of this cake is as follows:
Icing: $3.55 x 3= $10.65
Cake: $2.81 x2 = $5.62
Wrapping: $4.88
Work: $7.50 x 2.5 = $18.75
Total: $39.90
