Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Cakes

Raphael, Donatello, Michelangelo, and Leonardo were the theme of this five year old boy's birthday party, and of course you can't have the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles without a pepperoni pizza!  These 9" cakes are all made from yellow cake with green, black, white, orange, red, purple, blue, yellow, and light brown buttercream icing.  My young client was adamant about some of the turtles showing their teeth.  I think they turned out looking pretty fierce! The cost of these cakes was:

Buttercream Icing per Batch: $2.55 x 6.75= $17.21
Yellow Cakes: $1.93 x 2.5 = $4.83
Wrapping and Plating: $4.88
Labor: $6.00 per hour x 7.5 = $45
Total: $71.92

Paw Patrol Two Layer 9" Round Cake

This two layer 9" round cake was made for two of my favorite little four year old clients who this year are really into Paw Patrol.  This cake was harder than the Paw Patrol sheet cake because the surface area was smaller, so the detail on the logo, Marshall, and Skye had to be more fine.  This cake is a chocolate sheet cake decorated with blue, yellow, red, white, gray, black, dark brown, light drown, cream, light pink, and dark pink buttercream icing.  The cost of this cake was:

Buttercream Icing per Batch: $2.55 x 3.5= $8.93
Chocolate Cake: $1.93
Wrapping and Plating: $4.88
Labor: $6.00 per hour x 4.25 = $25.50
Total: $41.24

Paw Patrol Sheet Cake

This sheet cake was made for the family party for two of my favorite little four year old clients who this year are really into Paw Patrol.  I confess this cake took research because I had no idea who the Paw Patrol was, but I think the logo, Marshall, and Skye turned out pretty cool given the amount of detail I was able to create.  This cake is a yellow sheet cake decorated with blue, yellow, red, white, gray, black, dark brown, light drown, cream, light pink, and dark pink buttercream icing.  The cost of this cake was:

Buttercream Icing per Batch: $2.55 x 4.25= $10.84
Yellow Cake: $1.93 x 2 = $ 3.86
Wrapping and Plating: $4.88
Labor: $6.00 per hour x 5 = $30
Total: $49.58

Army Men Cupcakes

I made these 24 cupcakes for a little boy who loves all things military.  They are yellow cake cupcakes decorated with rough iced chocolate buttercream icing to look like the ground and some Army men the little boy provided.  The really cool thing about these cupcakes is the camouflage liners I found which I think perfectly create the theme.  The cost of these cupcakes is as follows:

Buttercream Icing per Batch: $2.55
Yellow Cake: $1.93
Camo Foils: $1
Labor: $6.00 per hour
Total: $11.48

Super Dylan Blue Sheet Cake

This take on the classic Superman cake was made for my friend's son's fourth birthday party.  He likes superheroes, but loves the color blue, so I made his yellow sheet cake blue!  I was happy to learn that it did not change the taste or moistness of my cake at all.  This cake is decorated with blue, yellow, and red buttercream icing and instead of a large "S" has a large "D" for Dylan!  The price for this cake is as follows:
Buttercream Icing per Batch: $2.55 x 2= $5.10
Blue Cake: $1.93 x 2 = $ 3.86
Wrapping and Plating: $4.88
Labor: $6.00 per hour x 2 = $12
Final Price: $25.84

Pink John Deere Wagon Cake

This pink John Deere wagon cake was made for my neighbor's daughter's second birthday.  It was cut from a yellow sheet cake and is decorated with dark pink, light pink, yellow, green, gray, white, and chocolate buttercream icing.  I paid special attention to detail on this cake as can be seen in the flowers, tire tread, layering on the wheels, bolt in the handle, and air pump attachment on the wheels.  If I had to make this cake again, I would cut back the white area so it was literally behind the chocolate wood panels just for added dimension.  Overall, I think it looked and tasted great!  The price for this cake is below:
Buttercream Icing per Batch: $2.55 x 4.5= $11.48
Yellow Cake: $1.93 x 2 = $ 3.86
Wrapping and Plating: $4.88
Labor: $6.00 per hour x 5.5 = $33
Final Price: $53.22

Thomas the Train Cake

This Thomas the Train cake was make for my son's third birthday.  It's a yellow cake cut from a 9x13 pan and decorated with blue, black, red, yellow, and white buttercream icing.  I have make Thomas cakes before, and I don't usually repost similar designs, but I did more detail on this cake and there are more cut outs to give the cake dimension.  I'm pretty proud of it, but most importantly, my son loved it.
